Best way to scroll-hop?
Some mice (for example, my logi g502) have the ability to switch between “locked” and “infinite” scroll, and others just infinite scroll. How effective would it be if you bound your scroll wheel to “jump”, then used infinite scroll (which is kinda like a fidget spinner, you spin and it keeps spinning for a while), how effective would it be? Has anyone tried it/used it effectively?
Edit: just thought about this, if you used it would OW think you were scripting?

Two things
1. Do you always hit perfect hops with this system?
2. Is it suspicious in Overwatch since you’re always hitting perfect consistent hops?

- Bhopping in csgo is absolutely easy. Especially with mwheel.
- It's most likely personal preference. When you like using the free spinning function then use it but I wouldn't use it since it's not necessary and there will be scenarious when you jump by mistake because of it. It makes the bhopping even more complex because you have to stop your wheel from spinning. So just use normal wheel.
- You can't get overwatch banned when you don't clearly cheat/script. Hitting "perfect consistent hops" like you said is completely easy. Every good player can do that blind while bhopping backwards on a ramp. The difference between someone who gets ow banned and someone who don't is the chance of gaining speed while bhopping. You only have a 50% chance of gaining speed. It's simply luck. When the overwatcher sees that you bhop around and gain speed with literally every single bhop ,ou do then you're clearly cheating and it's bannable. But you won't get that effect. Not with normal good bhop skills and not with your free spinning wheel.

Oh I see. Yeah, I just encountered the possibility of accidentally jumping...

Yeah that's what I meant. Just use the normal wheel. :)

Actually I might not do bhop at all, just get the aim down first

Bhopping is luck based anyways... You either hit the +jump command as you land or you don't (kinda 50/50 chance to land "perfect" hop and you can't airstrafe to speeds above 300 u/s anyway or you get slowed down)

Bhopping isn't luckbased. Only gaining speed. It's a difference. :steammocking:

You can't hit perfect hop 100 % of the time without scripting though...

Most use m_scroll as their jump bind. Otherwise u gona end up hammering the keyboard button.

I can do it blind. Backwards. Up a ramp/hill. Bhopping is completely easy. Try bhopping in 1.6, it's way harder. And you weren't allowed to bhop with the mousewheel and had to time your hops with space in leagues. So uhm. You're wrong. Stop spreading false information just because YOU can't do it.

The only thing which is 50/50 chance is gaining speed. The reason is because there are two commands comming with the +jump command, it's +jump (for gaining speed) and -jump (for a normal hop without gaining speed).

Simple as that.

Thats what I mean if you don't hit the +jump command as you land you lose speed, on perfect hop your speed stays the same and you can airstrafe to gain speed...

which is still a "perfect bhop". And you don't lose that much speed overall. You can still be nearly as fast as when someone is running. The difference is that the enemies can't hear you that much. So doing good bhops is always usefull. Enemies can't hear you that good (a bit like duckwalking in 1.6, google it), you're harder to hit and you will gain insane speed 50% of the time (statistically). Btw. an easy guide:

I have the g502 Hero and infinite scroll doesn't work if you scroll to fast, and scrolling it slowly is harder when you are concentrated about the game, at least that's what happens with me.
