Just for the record I don't believe the game is dying or dead, but it certainly isn't growing as the mod would like us to believe.
Does CS GO Dev take active part in discussions in this community?
What more can be done to ensure the status of CS GO remains at the top of Dota2?
Does Valve needs to communicate more with the player base? (Build a road map. Make plans. Talk to the community)
Valve's CS GO public relations guy Lombardi does not show passion. Just seems to be talking like Mark Zuckerberg. Is that good enough?
Do they need a new PR guy? Someone who looks sharp. Active. Someone with virility?
CS GO Dev needs passion. Top Management needs Passion. They need to understand the problems and they can't do that if they don't constantly play their own game. If they don't play their own game, they cannot understand the issues that need fixing.
Valve needs to make it mandatory for ALL Employees to play CS GO and engage with the community.
Being quiet, and constant surprises aren't a good thing specially if there is zero communication and then suddenly a big update that no one expected.
That might be a reason why some people did not take too well to the update.
Right now, its not Valve keeping this game alive. It is the community. The game does not die because the community keeps it alive.
It is okay being told that you are wrong, as long as you are not being told lies.
What we have, we cannot take it for granted just be cheering how great it is.
All of the above are personal points, not meant to incite an argument or to offend anyone. It is in ALL of our interest if this game continues to top Dota2. We all have to do our small part. From being a good member of community, helping keep the game clean, helping others and encouraging effort from Valve.
Exactly
If only csgo pr is better
It just something you have to get used to. Non of the hitboxes changed.
No one knows, that is the problem. There should be some indicator telling a player "You are behaving badly, fix your attitude or suffer the wrath of Gaben's cake machine" or something along those lines.
But personal experience has been over all positive. Went through the Full Tide Pod eating contest of Non Prime and earned Prime. Now things are a lot better. Haven't had to report anyone for cheating or griefing yet. Generally positive team mates. No one has been toxic at all last 10+ games.
If that's what Trust Factor is, then it seems like even a lowly level 0 like me can have it. But I am not here jumping with joy and taking it for granted because I have no proof of whether its real or not, and even if it is not, then I am solely responsible for how my own games turn out by keeping myself within contraints of my personal character.
