Csgo draining my alienware batery!
Hey guys, so basically i have a alienware R4 with rly good specs, good enough to play any game without fps lag and other problems, but every time i play csgo my computer start to do crazy stuff like my battery discharging and crazy fps drops.

Ii just cant understand why i can play anthem and tons of new gen games in maximum quality without ever have a single problem, but i cant play csgo for more than a few hours without need to stop because the computer lagging or the battery is running out even with the charger, i looked in every forum but i couldn't find a solution, i was thinking about my energy cable but if that was the problem why this just happens with csgo and not other games idk im totally lost and need some help here!

Yeah but i dont have that problem with any other game and when i play csgo pluged or not the result is always the same fps lag and batery running out for no reason, if the same happned with games like anthem or BF5. fallout. civ and etc, i would understand but is only with this game!

probably your cs go setting, like yes BF5 and other game 'in theory' is harder to handle than cs go.

Trust me even I'm using 1080Ti and Minecraft could literally use 100% of all my GPU power.
(Seus Ultra Shader + R3D 256x)

If you're using a laptop you have to limit your framerate, e.g: 120 if you uncapped it, of course, your battery usage will be high.

Try to tweak your setting, and maybe turn cs go power saving mode on

Yeah I was gonna say if you have the 240 watt then Dell support might send you a free 330 watt if you tell them about your problem.

edit: maybe try lowering the screen brightness and turning the brightness up in game settings.

CSGO is highly CPU intensive. Most of your bateery drain is from that. If you do decide to play CSGO, use "Laptop Power Saving Mode" in teh in game settings. Allso cap the framerate to 60FPS or 120 FPS.

Oh thanks u guys i gonna check if the cpu mode will help me, but is rly weird that only CSGO do that with my computer
