ma4a1-s has an easier spray pattern to control, but in my experience it does less dmg than the m4a4 (i would assume mainly due to the fact that the m4a4 has a higher fire rate)

personally i prefer the m4a4, as it holds more bullets in a clip and the spray pattern is not too difficult to learn

9 out if 10 times i end up dead with 3-4 hits, 98 damage. Im done with it, i bring my XM1014.

Its a matter of prefference really. Both play out very similary, but optinally m4a4 is better

A4:

+ higher fire rate
+ similar recoil compared to the AK (if you have problems with adjusting different recoil patterns)

A1-S:
+ silencer
+ low recoil
+ good for 1 taps
+ more accurate on long range

Mostly A4 was used for offensive playstyle and A1-S for defensive playstyle before the A1-S update.

M4A1-S no doubt. The easier spray pattern makes it better than the crappy m4a4. Those few extra bullets can't save you, if you missed the spray, but a better spray pattern can. Also, m4a1s has 100 bullets, it is more than enough.

M4A1-S is only better when you've very good aim and rely on that heavily. Everyone else should most likely use the M4A4. But it's also personal prerence. I use the M4A4 most of the time and the biggest reason is that I don't play that often. When I play more I like to switch to the M4A1-S because of the more consistent aim.

In the pro scene nobody use m4a1-s,only karrigan and maybe a few.
Mostly moved to AUG,SG or M4A4.

The competitive scene is very different than usual players. You cant really use a weapon as optimally as pros do. M4S has its benefits in casual
