i9 9900k high temps
CPU temp spiking to 70c only on csgo something is wrong with the game? Because on games like Pubg, rust my cpu temps dont go above 56C.

Make sure to keep an eye on the temperatures and if you reach anything close to 90C just let it chill for a while and see if it happens again. Don't get worried i9-9900K's LIKE to get a LITTLE HOT.

Hope I could have helped you a little bit today.

Apparently the i9-9900K has had some overheating issues when being heavily stressed.

What cooler and motherboard combo are you using?

most of the time it uses 10% of my cpu then suddenly spikes to 60% usage and 65-70c

What I've read about your CPU is that even temperatures around 79C are safe.

Did you try reapplying your thermal paste using the pea method?
Maybe try checking for clogs in your CPU cooler.

What case are you using? if you don't mind me asking.

Also i dont think that potato game like csgo can heavily stress it

Interestingly CS:GO is very highly CPU intensive but this is the first time I see someone report getting 70C on such beastly CPU with good CPU cooler.

I reaplied thermal paste after i noticed this csgo issue at first but it did not help as i mentioned before only this game getting me this issue all others is fine

Even in bf 5 with ray tracing at maximum graphic dont get me this temperature

That case offers good airflow so this should be a issue. Apparently i9-9900K's like to get a bit toasty under load and the temperatures you're reaching are apparently fine for this CPU as long as it doesn't hit anything above 85C for long period of time.

PUBG, BF 5 and Rust are apparently not as CPU intensive so they are not gonna "push" your CPU temperature up.

I mean i understand if it was like 65-70c all the time but now its spiking from 46c to 70c and cpu usage from 10% to 60%

Under 70C = really good
Hitting the 70-79C = OK
Hitting 80-89 = "Fine" for the CPU
Hitting Anything above 90+ degrees is a problem for i9-9900K

It seems like CS:GO is applying a lot of load onto your CPU for some reason, what settings are you running?

Just found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MA2goQ_1_I it seems its normal for csgo to spike like this this guy getting even above 80c so i should be fine with my 70c
