CSGO won't run on new PC!
Hello all,
I just built my first PC, booted it up with Windows 10 - Education 64 bit and installed all the drivers for the GPU and motherboard.
I installed Steam and CS:GO and I am unable to launch it. The game says "running" goes to "syncing" and then stops completely without launch. I have noticed that it shows up in the Task Manager for a few seconds before disappearing. Also, other games in steam are accessible (although I have only tried running one other) So far I have tried:
-Uninstalling Steam
-Uninstalling CSGO
-Closing CSGO in task manager in the few seconds it appears
-Verifying the game files
-Removing all files related to csgo before reinstalling
-Transferring CSGO via external hardrive from my laptop
-Running in compatibility mode with windows 7 and 8
-Factory resetting my PC and trying everything again
and I think a few other things I may be forgetting.
I have not installed any antivirus software after booting up my PC
I am very frustrated and have spent quite a few hours trying to figure this out.
My PC specs are as follows:
B450 Aorus Pro Wifi Motherboard
Ryzen RX 5700 GPU
AMD R5 3600 CPU
Inland Premium 1TB M.2 NVME drive
G.skill RipJaws v 3200 DDR4 ram.
Anything to help would be greatly appreciated. I just want to play CSGO on my new rig :(
Thanks so much for your time!

do you have any start up commands saved to your steam profile? maybe that could be it.

Hi tyc0, I have never configured any start up options in my steam profile to my knowledge. Should I check on this?

Run DXDIAG and use the Save All Information button to save to a text file. Review that text file. Near the bottom, you might find some crash info for CSGO.

I ran it and there is no crash information in the file. Although,I did uninstall CSGO and the crash files that were listed as well. Should I reinstall, try opening, and after crash run this program?

The crash reports would still show in DXDIAG unless you used something like CCleaner to wipe them.

It probably won't help, but try SFC. Open a CMD window as Administrator and run SFC /SCANNOW.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

this was the resulting output

Agreed! I am not sure as I am not very tech savvy in the PC world, but could the Day 1 GPU drivers be an issue perhaps?

Yes. I thought you said you updated them. If you haven't, you should update them.

I have updated to the most recent drivers from the AMD website

I ran the DISM clean/check health portion of this and received this as an output:
No component store corruption detected.
The operation completed successfully.

Anyone have anymore info on this? Its happening to me too. It just says preparing to launch then gives up. I have tried countless forum options with no luck.

Its probably the Day 1 drivers. Seems to have been a problem in the past with newer GPUs. Might have to wait for an update...

having the same problem too has anyone fixed this?
Z-iHendy Jul 24, 2019 @ 10:57pm
Same for me! Already tried:

"-Uninstalling Steam
-Uninstalling CSGO
-Closing CSGO in task manager in the few seconds it appears
-Verifying the game files
-Removing all files related to csgo before reinstalling
-Transferring CSGO via external hardrive from my laptop
-Running in compatibility mode with windows 7 and 8
-Factory resetting my PC and trying everything again"

And,

- Delete launcher then repair CSGO and try run;
- Install all C++ and visual studio kits;
- Move some DLL (D3DX9_43.dll) To folders: System, System32, Steam and CSGO folder;
- Type many initial code as "-window -Novid -Windowed" on CSGO app;

My PC specs are as follows:

Asus B450 - Pro Gaming
AMD Navi RX 5700 GPU
AMD Ryzen R5 3600 CPU
2x8Gb 3000Mhz Crucial Ballistcx

PLEASE VALVE HELP US!

Just to be sure all are having OS Windows ?
It was working for this guy
2 years ago
so worth to try:
- only remove file d3d9.dll in Csgo - bin folder and launch Csgo.
https://youtu.be/Q_rqPp_cSS8
-launch option: -nojoy (worked on Linux)https://youtu.be/1R-f4wwRReI

But could be also only Ryzen problem.
