Is gold nova 4 a good first rank?

So I won 10 comp games, and my rank is gold nova 4, and I wanna know if it's good enough to continue

Yeah, it's pretty decent! My first rank in 2013 was Master Guardian 1. Gold nova 4 is now much better than MG1 back then!

Solo queue is about an individual's impact on the game. Altho since queueing with friends yields the same exact rating as queueing alone would, there's probably a point in saying that your rank isn't anything like your skill level.

Why do pro players say that their teams hold them back? Just an excuse? Sure.

solo queue ranks has nothing to do with your skill level, it is more about when you play the game and who Valve gives you as team members. If valve put cheaters to opposite team and gives you full team of boosted silvers to play with it is pretty much same what you do.
