CSGO CASES.com broke my account?

So I tired one of those cases websites because I can't afford ♥♥♥♥. To open the one of the free daily cases it requires you to change your avatar to a certain thing. But now I've realised the site is a scam so I tried to change my avatar back to what it originally was. Problem is... it won't when I go to change it , it says it has uploaded it correctly and shows that it has, but when I save the changes it still doesn't do anything the top right corner where it shows your balance and stuff is still the other avatar. In game it is still the other one but as I'm writing this it shows the right one next to the discussion. I'm really confused and pissed off, I tried that link that people have linked in related discussion to these but when I chose the link it shows me the right one but still does nothing when I try to change it. If someone can please tell me wtf is going on I'll be very thankful. I'm also very sorry if this hasn't been explained properly either.

Some 3rd party trading and unbox sites were fake. They have a fake steam log in page to steal your account name and password. Check your account log in history here.

If there are other log ins outside your country, your account have been compromised. Their script bot is able to log into your account to change things. As such you'd find it difficult to apply changes.

Thanks for that link I'm sure to keep that in mind when I need it. But nothing seems to be unusual. I think I fixed it by pressing the retry connection on the friends menu and it seemed to do something
