Cs:go for deaf player
Hi all

For a long time I have been wanting to play cs:go but I am worried that being a deaf player (cannot hear or talk to team mates) that this would go against me and spoil my enjoyment.

I will be giving it a try later today but can anyone give me any advice.

Thanks in advance

Knowing where enemies are is such an important factor in this game that it will greatly damper your enjoyment not knowing where enemies are by sound alone :(

dont worry about it really a lot of people play without mic and maybe without any sound
I have played with loud music playing and no sound at all and still get just as many kills.

On hl2dm I used to play with music playing and got 68 kills to 0 deaths with 32 players and 20 mins match.

You can do text callouts.
I play without sound often and just blast my music, no info, no enemy, no gunshots. It's doable, but deffo playing on hard mode. But because i don't have my other sense to rely on, i check every corner and i keep my hand active as i swipe everywhere = better overall aim when i try to play with no sound.
You can't afford to play slow without sound, as you will get ambushed, backstabbed etc, you lack info. You can only rely on timings from the beggining of the round as info and radar, and i found that the best way to counter this is to just play agressive.
Also from what i saw from another deaf player in CSGO, the only playstyle for u guys, is agressive. Gotta push sites or somewhere before you get flanked so you only deal with 'what is infront of your eyes'. And basicly master aiming.
Gluck.

There are game modes where sound isn't a big factor. There's plenty of fun to be had in deathmatch, community servers and casual. I'd give those a shot.
Maybe type in team chat during warmup something like "hey guys I'm deaf I would really appreciate if you type info in chat, strats etc, thanks "

i think in this case you may be justified to use certain hacks like chams
This is not really necessary.

youd still be better than half the rejects who can hear but dont have a clue.
Hey. I think you need to find teammates to play with, because people don't use text chat for info in general.

Also, sound matters the most only on low ranks. So it is about skill - prefiring positions, getting info from teammates and using your mind to win.

Have fun, it is prior in game!

There is a thing for mute People (can't talk or hear) that is kinda like a threat indicator so whenever there is sound and you're supposed to be able to hear it it will show the direction the sound is coming from. I forgot what it was called but you are able to set different colors for when you're supposed to hear teammates and enemies so you don't get them confused. I remember seeing a video for it years ago
Is this a legit mod or classed as a hack?

It's not a hack, its actually designed for mute People, of course it takes into account walking mechanics so if sn Enemy is Shift walking behind you you're not gonna get notified Because you're not supposed to.
