Hardware ID and Trust Factor
So this year after January I noticed my Trust Factor dramatically drop, I however am not the only person who uses the computer I play on.
My boyfriend and I both share a computer and around December, early January he was creating Steam Accounts to cheat on CS and he obviously got banned.

As I played CS I continued to notice that my games were becoming increasingly filled with cheaters, and my friends would say my trust factor was substantially lower than their's.
My boyfriend said he stopped cheating on CS, but that his main account and a smurf account both have a very low trust factor as well.

He created a new steam account registered to a new phone number and bought CSGO from the Steam store instead of a key from a third party site.
His matches were fine for about a week until he started playing against cheaters, and then he noticed his account has a very low trust factor after lobbying with one of our friends who has high trust.

Since March we seem to spend more time playing CSGO on gaming PCs at a CyberCafe using the CyberCafe's steam accounts since they are higher trust factor and we actually enjoy the game.

This leads me to believe that the community were listened to, but instead of Valve introducing Hardware ID bans, they are actually using Hardware ID to give weight to an accounts trust factor.
I've spent hours on CS since I noticed my Trust Factor going low, and those hours haven't done anything positive. I have done over 100+ overwatch cases and received plenty of XP from the convictions.

I'm not a one off case as there are going to be atleast a tenth of the community who share a PC with friends, family or partners. But it makes me think of how many people complain about a very low trust factor, is it because they are toxic or has someone cheated on the computer they play on?

I am fairly certain that in the announcement they said that this is how trust is supposed to work. How they identify alternate accounts they didn't say - it may be HWID, identical IPs over a period of time, same location, credit card data, phone numbers etc. or a mix of those. So yeah, they definitely have a way to identify alts.

HWIDs have nothing to do with TF.

If that was the case, all my accounts would have low Trust.

Clueless about how hardware ID bans can be bypassed and how it will affect secondhand parts.

Or they buy pre leveled/ranked accounts that Valve has already flagged/deemed low trust

Valve has always used HWID, just not for bans.

I am confused, You cheated on another account after CS went F2P?
If not then explain?

He means he has accounts with high to low trust factor playing on the same pc.

If that is the case, then they have failed miserably trying to differentiate between my boyfriend and I.

Trust factor works actually like it should.
What can i say from my experience.
I started to play csgo in december 2018.
Low Steam level, no games bought.
All i faced in matchmakings - just a monstrous amount of cheaters, screaming toxic people, teamkillers, trolls, vote kickers, afk people and everything like that.
That was my best ingame experience, i lost incredible number of matchmakings, but finally got my free prime. Firstly it was just a challenge and i stopped playing after it.
Since february i've not played csgo and started about 2 month ago... Playing mm only sometimes.
What can i say - everything changed, no cheaters, no trolls, no toxic people at all.

Yesh old banned Steam Accounts have an impact on your current TF
trust ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ doesnt work its gay and ♥♥♥♥ valve

So me and my sons share the same desktop at home… lets ruin my gaming experience if one of them cheat and get banned… lol

Thats why I play faceit only. Esea or challengermode is also good.

Also, people complain about matching up with cheaters all the time and these people never cheated or got banned before, what about that?
