Scrimmage Maps? Please explain.

Can anyone explain what they are for? From what I could gather... It's just the same as a casual game only you get a penalty if you leave?

I'm struggling to see the point in them... o_O

They have a description in game menu... It must be a competitive gameplay but without ranks affection at all. Just 5v5 on these maps like Demolution but with penalties

I don't think it's 5v5 though is it? It says there is no limit on your party?

It means that your party can have any mixture of ranks - from S1 to GE ... and so will the opposite team. You get XP but nothing else.

Yes. Its now available BUT for 3 maps only - 'Breach', 'Seaside' and 'Ruby'.

Agreed. Also I think Valve is trying to get people to play on and try out the new maps without risk of losing their rank due to poor map knowledge.

I think they don't wish to separate the players in popular maps. If we wish to play other game modes, it's going to be a different map.

Can someone please tell me if non prime accounts play competetive matches will they not get medal? Do we have to pay to see our medal? for ex. I just play Dust 2 competitive but my acc is non prime so I won't get my medal in Dust 2 unless I pay?
