It's not throttling, the laptop came with single channel RAM, i didn't know the issues this would entail, and apparently no one else here knew either. Anyway, this was fixed when I added a second RAM stick.
Yeah, right? A clueless trash talker commented on the first page and said "i7 is poop for gaming", and that my 6 core 3.9GHz CPU is bad, clearly not having any idea what the hell he was talking about.
Anyway I'm glad I can finally enjoy this laptop. The 144Hz screen with great color accuracy and high FPS make it very enjoyable to play games on a laptop even.
as more the temperature increase the more it trottles to prevent a crash.
Not sure what you can do to improve the cooling on your laptop except from changing the cooling paste out with some new or maybe buy some cooling pads if they can fit
edit: can self play in 4k for several hours and my cpu stay at 31c & gpu 55c (max temps)
again not a laptop i got but a custom build water cooled gaming pc
Here's a few things. Make sure your nvidia graphic settings are correct in the Nvidia control panel. Try enabling cl_forcepreload in your launch options for the game and set the thread count to whatever is appropriate for your cpu in the launch options as well.
are you using launchoptions?
did you manually install drivers? (more than windows update)
did you check your grafic cards driver settings? (remove weird options like "chill" and other strange stuff)
I bought the ASUS Scar Strix III, i7-9750h with RTX 2070 and I get barely 167 fps.
Now I know.
Thank you again.
