How did almost all of CSGO Items doubled up in price in a year

I’ve been away from CS:GO since August 2018 but then I came back and realized that almost all the knives, high tier, god tier skins suddenly doubled up in price... Like the M4 Howl, Kara Ruby, Kara Sapphire, Dlore and many more. Can someone care to explain me what happened and if it’s possible that the items will go down in price like they used to in time. So I won’t make an ultimate fail investment in skins that will go down in price tremendously in the future.

its basic supply/demand really. this games stands the test of time, im sure the demand will stay high for awhile. plus they kinda have it so the supply works along with the demand. as people need to play or open cases to get the items.

Well, that's lucky. Basically, since many things like Howl's cannot be unboxed or attained in any way, the price has risen. This is also due to inactive accounts, collectors and trade banned accounts who have these items, which brings up the price. The prices probably won't fall, but they could. If you want to cash out, maybe just cash out some . However, since it's the summer sale prices are low (as people are selling skins to buy games). If you want maximum profit, wait until just after Christmas where many people just got money so prices are highest. Obviously, I can't predict the future, but it's very unlikely that Howl prices will drop. Dragon Lore's and other collection skins will probably drop in price if they are featured in a future operation (not likely to happen any time soon)
