Mousewheel sometimes not working

Sometimes when I scroll through my weapons it doesn't detect like 1-4 scroll steps.
I have toggled raw input on and off, deleted all my config files, reinstalled my game, replaced my mouse and the issue persists.
I have started using the number keys to switch but I'm more used to the mousewheel and it drives me crazy while I'm playing.
Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this?

since a few updates after they went FTP this started happening to me as well, not only does my mouse wheel intermittently stop working ( i use MW 3rd button for quick switch with AWP) but my mouse stops intermittently, my KB stops intermittently, my 3.0 USB ports disconnect intermittently as well....other freaky crap happens as well and lots of screen freezes and lag spikes.

Try to use another mouse and see if the problem persist.

I did. First I thought my Logitech G502 would be the problem. So I bought a Corsair Dark Core SE an the problem persisted.

its NOT the mouse, its the game updates...i have even tried a different KB to see if it stopped but just as the OP replied the same..

I'm so perplexed at what they are doing with this game it haunts me at night in my dreams......

Update:
1. I did find out something weird about that mousewheel issue:
My Logitech G502 (wired) does have the issue.
My Corsair Dark Core SE (wireless) also has the same issue.
BUT
My Corsair Dark Core SE (wired) doesn't have this issue.

I can't really explain it, but somehow csgo likes my mouse when I connect it via the usb cable.

2. Yesterday for some reason csgo decided to enable some kind of voicemorpher to my mic. Everytime I tabbed in the game my voice became darker and my mic started to crackle.
This accured not only in csgo but systemwide. Somehow csgo did something with my mic. The issue stops when I replug my mic but comes back right when I tab back into csgo.

I have to say that whatever valve is doing to csgo, it's not good. I've played this game for so many years now without any problems but nowadays this game gets worse with every update..

To be honest logitech g502 is way too heavy for csgo. Use lighter g403 instead.

ok so, ready for my conspiracy theory?

valve got hacked and the hackers took control over valves systems, valve does not want this public so they say nothing and put these stupid map changes/addons and skins to steer the public away from noticing, also the updates are failed attempts from valve to regain control of their systems while the hackers are messing the game up and infecting everyones PC with some sort of malware or something.....lol just a thought...

funny part is i just got kicked from a game because unlike all the other times my mouse would disconnect it didnt reconnect therefor they kicked me and i had to do a hard boot to restart my PC...i mean WT f ....

Corsair has horrible QA for their gaming stuff. It's like mouse lottery, maybe you get a good one, maybe they tell you to f off. Just check their forum, it's full of complaints and wishy washy solutions that don't work.
