Why does my mouse keep double-clicking?

As the title says, my mouse keep double-clicking even though i only clicked the mouse once.
This problem makes me buy the wrong weapons in Competitive games.
I tried turning down the Double-Click speed setting in Mouse Properties but it doesn't seem to work

Does anyone have a solution?

Try to change your mouse, or use number keys to buy.

Which mouse do you use? had this problem with a Logitech G400. Reason for this was a defective cable. guess u should try another mouse and if the problem is gone, it probably is your mouse. i could fix it for several months with fixing the cable inside the mouse, but it came back eventually, so i switched to a new one

I have same mouse. I have been using it from 2 yrs. Now looks like left click.. Fire button is broken. It double clicks and sometimes does not fire at all. So I changed the fire button to right click and scope to left click.

But your problem is... You will have to bind buy weapons to numpad. Search for csgobind generator dot Com. And get all your weapon binds there.

Then change the mouse buttons. It will take some time to get used to jew settings it it works fine for me now.

I don't want to buy a jew stupid mouse. I think life increased by 2 more years. Lmao.

This usually happens with older mice.
There was a way to fix it but you had to open up the mouse and unbend some piece of metal inside.

My suggestion is getting a new mouse tbh, it's what I did.

Ensure your double click settings are correct. Restart your computer. Test it with any folder on desktop. Click on it once. If the folder opens, it's a hardware issue and not really CSGO related.

Common mouse wear and tear :

- Single click became double click easily
- Mouse wheel was unable to scroll the page up and down accurately
- Mouse wheel click wasn't working (Tip: it open links on a new tab instantly)
- Cursor movement detection on and off at times

Nothing lasts forever. Time to get a new mouse.
