Random invites

Recently [after the recent lobby fix update where hackers could inject malware and stuff],i have been getting random invites from people i am not friends with.i have my the new LFG[Looking For Game] option set to not enabled,along with lobby set to Need Invites.
Infact There is only one particular account i am getting invites from.
and after opening that profile i can already see annoyed players going off ,with time-tag "just now".
When i accept the invite it shows the error session expired.
anyone else getting this annoying problem ?

Don't worry, it's the CS:GO forum so it's assumed. That said unfortunately I don't know anything about this issue, nor have I experienced it myself.

Do you see him anywhere? It could be that he's able to invite you through the recent players list.
Otherwise it could simply be someone forging their own requests towards whatever API the game uses for invites, as I'm not sure what restrictions actually apply in terms of inviting people besides how the GUI limits your selection.
I wouldn't be worried about it causing any harm, but if you want the invites to stop, I'd imagine you can block him.

yeah i thought of it too and i checked all the way to my first game[new account so like 20 games only,1year ]. he wasnt there !! this must be some bug

oka i have had it.
after creating the thread i "Block all comms" him but still he can send me invites[SOB just did].
where can we send a report to valve(email) ?

Yeah I kind of had a feeling it would bypass blocks. Your best bet at getting any kind of response is to use the support system here on the website. There are email addresses meant for feedback, but none of them offer issue tracking, so you'll likely never hear back if you send an email.

I constantly get spammed from invites as well, started after the new update as well. Not anger worthy but it's a bit annoying on how these can't be disabled.

i am not angry or anything but i think its worrying that these accounts can get around blocks and theres nothing we can seem to do

necro but if you still have this problem cl_invites_only_friends 1 fixes it
