Why do people buy kevlar on pistol round?

I've seen many people even pros buy kevlar on the first round, why? People aim for your head and you're not going to save on first round. You're also likely to be damaged and you'll have to pay $1000 for helmet next round even if you survive.

Because even pro are not aimbot and miss from time to time, hitting the body.

If you're hit in the body, and you aren't wearing armor, you'll suffer aim-punch, and your vision will get knocked askew. Some players prefer avoiding that, especially CT-side, where enemy glocks will deal punishing extra damage if you aren't wearing armor, in addition to the aim punch.

Even if they miss head, they can still hit your torso, which causes camera shaking. Also starting pistols are pretty solid (especially USP) on unarmoured enemies.

The maximum damage of a grenade is 98, if the grenade itself hits you in the face it will deal 2 damage. ;P
