Basically you can do it on a slanted platform. I don't do this often, but on some maps you are able to do this, such as Vertigo. Whereas you jump from the elevator and land on the slanted platform to avoid fall damage.

im not talking about those platform , really edges, those edges on the side of the road on nuke, or even between boxes in mirage, you slide through them intead of taking damage, its those 1 cm edges

I wouldn't bother with that, as it sounds pretty difficult to perform, and wouldn't grant you much of an advantage in game.

I assume it's pure luck. If you're lucky enough to land in the exact spot, you'll be able to do it. I don't really see it as something regularly done.
