does "r_drawtracers_firstperson" affect FPS?

if I keep it at 0 will it improve my FPS, i'd like to put it to 1 as I think it would improve my spray.

It shouldn't, but if you're this concerned about FPS you're probably running a low end enough build that it will have an impact.
If you're running a rather poor performance computer, I'd say turn it off (it wont increase fps much though). However this can make spraying rather difficult without the tracers.
As I said, it does have a downside when disabled, so if you have a pc which can hit 50-60fps, there is no need for it to be disabled, you most likely wont notice the small benefit and you will notice the downsides.

It affects your fps a super tiny bit, but material queue mode and turning off all effects are more important

Drawtracers is however cheat protected so you can't even turn off them in matchmaking anyway x)

Personally, I run a low end build (can hit 60fps on good days), I simply run 4:3 stretched on 800x600, and turn down the graphics. I can still leave on the tracers and I don't notice any difference. One tip, always use cl_forcepreload 1. It slows your joining time but preloads the entire map so you aren't loading sections dependant on where you are in the map. (Good fps boost)

There would be a miniscule benefit then, literally you could get more by closing programs in task manager whilst playing. It really wouldn't be worth it for 1-2 more fps.

well if there is a 1-2 frame difference then i dont really care that much, might aswell put it, took me 1 year to find the command again :P

(Well aware I'm typing a lot seperately instead of one post, just keep thinking of stuff after I've posted)
If you really don't care for your overlay or you run 2 monitors, you can disable it by going to the top left corner of your steam client, Steam -> settings -> ingame -> Enable the steam overlay in game
This does benefit your fps a fair deal (Results vary, i've seen 10-20fps increases) , although ingame stores will no longer work so you'll have to go out of CS temporarily to re-enable it when you do.

nah overlay's good, i was just curious about the tracers, i think the rest of my settings are just good
