Every other time I think you should just report and move on with the day/match.
It.. sucks.
It sucks indeed. I mean, if my next game has someone who IS griefing really badly, or spouting racial slurs in chat, or both, I still can't kick them, because that would no doubt get me *another* cooldown. That's not really a great solution to toxic behavior, forcing people to endure it. And the other 3 players on my team might be perfectly nice people having their match ruined, but I have to be complicit in keeping the one abusive player in the game because just agreeing to *their* votes would get me suspended...
Is there a way to mute a particular players' text chat? I've been looking for the option but can't seem to find it in-game. I imagine that would help a lot...
I dont know how to mute specific players.
Nobody has the right to kick a player when he / she is only playing badly. For griefing, simply report them so that they can be given 30 days ban and a perm ban on repeated offense.
The kick feature is to be used only for afk, for example the player is afk but running a script to prevent an auto afk kick. If the person is screaming or wrote offensive text, we should mute instead of kick.
The kick abuse happened because monkeys do it and monkeys learn. What are we, an online king to decide who gets to play and who does not? It is wrong to kick players. We should stop the bad habit as soon as possible.
Kicking someone because he isn't doing exactly as you say is not a valid reason to kick.
Kicking someone because he wasnt able to avenge you for dying is not a reason to kick.
Kicking someone because you had a bad day is not a valid reason.
Also dont press F1 to kick someone if you dont know why they want to kick him, maybe someone in your team is kicking for a stupid reason such as the one mentioned.
Honestly I dont trust the vote kick system to anybody especially americans who are extremely salty at video games.
But there is also another side, namely players that get kicked for no reason. And there are lots of players that do these kickvotes for no reason. So these players deserve a Cooldown for kicking too many teammates. Because they abuse the kick system (or try to abuse it). If you look through this forum you see alot of people complaining about getting cooldowned over and over again for "no reason". But they all got one reason in common; they vote to kick players.
To get a cooldown for kicking, you have kicked WAY more than what you are admitting to. Don't bother denying it, its a fact not in question.
What you have to do is learn to report and move on, and don't participate in kick votes for about a month so your cooldown level drops. If you don't - next ban *WILL* be a week long. You have been warned.
What is a cooldown and how does it work? Read this handy guide and do what it says! GL man!

I've not been playing the game at all for about a month, besides these two games, so no, you're quite incorrect.
I think my original post was extremely clear; In both cases, I received a 24hr cooldown for *one* kick, of an AFK player, not initiated by me. It is a badly designed system that penalizes using the votekick system regardless of reason *or* frequency.
A lot of the responses here seem to come from people who seem like they *absolutely deserved to be kicked* for their behavior, but insist that they are the ones being "abused" when a team removes them for their bad behavior.
Don't pretend that people kicking others "for no reason" are more common than people being kicked for abusive behavior, because that's a flat out lie. If you are consistently getting kicked from games "for no reason", it's probably not because every team you encounter kicks you "for fun", it's because you've been consistently behaving in a manner that makes *every player on your team* want to exchange you for a Bot.
Remember, Bots are awful, they will run face-first into enemy fire, and yet somehow you're making *that* look appealing by comparison to whatever you've been doing. Maybe it's not the 4 other players to blame every single time if it happens to you more than once a week, huh?
In all my time playing CSGO I've been kicked for "no reason" maybe 3 or 4 times, total. In hundreds of matches, that's insignificant.
By the way, if you ask for help and advice, don't be so arrogant as to receive help and then "dis" it. You obviously have a high cooldown level and if you don't read the guide and do as was *strongly* advised, its on you.
Either way, not my problem. GL HF man.
