Disconnect hack?!

So, I was playing a competitive match, just now, and the following happened.

During warmup, everything seemed ok, but as soon as the game began things started getting weird, every single time my team had an opportunity to win the round, all of the team got disconnected for a few seconds (like when the game freezes and that red timer appears in the top right corner of the screen). Thus we lost the rounds. Only when we were about to win, either about to kill the last terrorist, or about to defuse the bomb.

Then a while later, when this happened again, at least myself got disconnected from the server, thrown back to the main menu, could not reconnect, and when I restarted the game, no option to reconnect appeared, as if I had abandoned the match, no ban though. I was the top fragger.

I was solo queueing so I can't reach to my teammates to see what happened to them, maybe I was the only one disconnected.

Now I'm wondering if there's some hack they could be using to disconnect the opposing team whenever they want.

I doubt such a hack exists, that means they somehow need to break into the server and block certain people (IP's) from communicating with that specific server (or kill their connection).. seems very unlikely to me.

Guys, I'm from Brazil and the same thing is happening, and just happens during matchmaking games, if I play a casual game nothing happens everything is normal.

I understand it seems impossible, but to me, it also seems it couldn't be anything other than that. I have heard other people have similar experiences, though a while ago. Not sure, just throwing it out there to hear other people's opinions on the matter.

The cheaters have a function called "unknown" that crashes the server if they feel like they are going to lose. This function is mostly used against other cheaters to crash the server and delete the save.. But however, this function 70% results in a vac ban. so it was a big risk for the player who did it.

The reason i wrote "unknown" because i never seen that function with my own eyes. I just heard that Aim ware users can possibly do that.

Yeah, afaik there were occasions before where you had security leaks that lead to hackers beeing able to crash the server. This was also done before to erase overwatch demos. At least from what know.

Yes they can do this, this “hack” was used alot more last year

That was a new feature in hacking tools when the exploit was found. But Valve found the cause to the exploit and patched it a couple months ago. By the sounds of it, they managed to find a work around and block the communication. The exploit resulted in game replays not showing and the game itself not actually being recorded. Because they werent recorded, the matches dont get tallied on your overall results. Valve do know of this issue and have added a system in place that will automatically ban those who use it without the VAC system detecting them as the exploit doesnt kill the user connection, but blocks the server IP remotely.

A "friend"of mine was vac banned (he was on my friend list but only because i was a Rust server admin) and when i asked why he was banned and on what game he said It was for crashing a mm server in csgo, so it can be possible but you will get vacced

what about this, this is my experience in last match i played, i was carrying the half match about 25+ kills, and after round 20 i was getting 30% loss packets and my ping is locked at 120ms for last 10 rounds, and it gets normal after the match ended, is it suspicious?
