Do I get derank even for having a high k/d ratio on losing matches?
I got a good performance in my match and most of my kills were more above 20. I helped my team to perform a strategy but we lost it and I only got few wins today. So let's say if I lose more of my matches and my stats are well performed, do I have any chances of getting derank and does it affect my ELO? I'm grateful for your answers and please don't make any snarky comments.

Then what do they use.
CSGO uses a heavilly modified Glicko-2 Rating System.
Regardless of elo or another system, details are unknown

Nobody knows the details of elo.

Because CSGO does not use ELO.

That's... why I'm addicted to it. Made me play for desperate ranks and that's why it makes it repetitive.

Well it's no rocket science to understand CSGO is a team-based game, where winning ROUNDS matters and not how many kills you get..

Sure it might hold some value at some point, but definitely won't safekeep your rank if you keep losing, but perform ok.

No official statement about how the ranking system work huh. Well I guess that's the only answer I get then. Thnx for both of you. [/quote]

That's right.
I'm glad they don't release how it works to be honest. It would make people focus only on what affects their rank the most and ignore the initial goal of the game.
