PC randomly restarts when I play CSGO
For some reason my computer only restarts when I play CSGO. Sometimes it takes hours to happen and other times it takes minutes. I've tried multiple other games that require higher specs and my computer runs completely fine. Before you guys say its an "overheating issue" or "I have old parts" I just recently bought this computer and even exchanged it for a new one because of the same issue. I called newegg and nvdia, and they both don't know what the problem is. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7 7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard: Asus Prime Z270-A ATX LGA1151
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 32GB DDR4-2400
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 750W

Could be a virus, drivers, many things. I suggest doing a couple things.

List:
Programs:
MalwareBytes (Run a full scan)
CCleaner (Don't mess with settings, except for monitoring settings, tick those off.)
Things to do on your own:
Reinstall pak files (Go into csgo's directory and delete every file that starts with "pak01_", then go to CSGO's properties > Verify Game Integrity, should take around 10 minutes.)
Disable your current antivirus while running the game (MalwareBytes should be fine)

If your pc still restarts/shuts down randomly, I suggest:
Reinstalling Windows/Steam/CSGO as a whole

I've reinstalled windows/steam/csgo, I used CCleaner every day, and I am currently trying the method where I turn off my antivirus

Sounds like unstable cpu. Did you try to reset bios settings? maby try turn off turbo boost and see if it still happens.

I don't know what it could be but i still think that it actually might be an overheating issue after all. Download a program called CPU-Z and GPU-Z and run then while playing csgo eventually minimize your game and see if you got high temperatures on both CPU/GPU/Mobo If you got 85+ degrees celcius then i think your cooling fans might be installed unproperly or your chasis is not getting enough airflow or just simply too small.

I set the ASUS AI settings to recommended and the game hasn't crash yet, and the CPU temp is around 40-50 celcius while csgo is running

Well last resort i can only advice you to either update or downgrade your drivers. This problem sounds odd.

Yea, my drivers are all up to date and newegg support has tried helping with that and it still happened; however, it has only happened once with this new pc I built. Still hasn't happened since changing the max cpu power from 30W to 67W. Hoping it fixed. Thanks for you guy's input and help.

I fixed my problem by getting a new power supply.
And you just had this in csgo? Cause for me it's only happening when I play csgo

Yes, I only had it on csgo. For some reason when I uncapped my fps from the max 300, it would just turn my pc off and restart. I think my PSU couldn't handle the load on the amount of power I was putting on my CPU, since CSGO is a CPU intensified game.
yes i know but on every single game i use more watts then in csgo (even for the cpu)
i have a 730W PSU and it can handly my 8700k @4,8ghz and my RTX2080TI on max load, i really dont get it but thx for your reply! :)
I was experiencing the same suddenly, and reinstalling the pak files did it for me! 👍👌
It was the PSU for me, even tho it makes no sense but if somebody with the same problem gets to this Thread, check your PSU or test an other temporarily :)
