CS:GO Forums Tips and Trick #1 - How To Avoid Fake Giveaways

There are a lot of CS:GO giveaway scams online. I'm sure most of them come from the general CS:GO forums.

I have decided that I am going to start a new series showing you tips and tricks for the Counter-Strike Global Offensive forum.

Today, I’ll explain how you can spot a giveaway scam from a legitimate giveaway so you don’t waste your precious time.

Now: How To Avoid Fake Giveaways

1) Private Inventory
It's really shocking to see people enter in these giveaways and they could care less to check if the user even has the item in his inventory. I have seen two giveaway forums in the past day and both of their inventory is private. If a person has private inventory, it's probably fake

2) Random Person
95% of the giveaways in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are FAKE! Don't waste your time on an random person who you don't know or trust. If they are giving something big, then it's probably fake.

3) Too Good To Be True
If you want to win something big - the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive forums aren't for you. If you see a big giveaway like a knife.. don't trust them or waste your time. If it sounds too good to be true or the person looks like a fake giveaway… it probably is. If YOU really want a big item in a legit giveaway, go to the twitter of some Gambling Sites. They usually give out legit items.

4) Asking You To Do Something
If you see a giveaway thread and someone is asking you to do something (i.e, comment on their profile/post, enter a code in on a site, or anything else, follow/subscribe to them on twitter or YouTube, or something else) then it's fake

5) Use Your Brain
If a giveaway looks fake, then don't waste your time entering it. Use your brain and understand what is going on!

If it ends up fake boo-hoo you wasted 5 seconds typing "enter me" into the thread

If they ask for you to submit something other then a comment (Give a skin to enter) dont enter it

If they ask for +reps just delete them off their profile if it ends up being a scam

You never know if it can be real or not so I don't think "its too good too be true" is really a way to go because I got my AK Redline from a giveaway I thought was"too good to be true"

You guys act like you lost so much from these fake giveaways other then a little bit of time, stop being so insecure.

There has Benn lots of things done to help brain-dead people, but what do you know? It doesn't work,
It's their problems let them solve it or fall for.

They couldn't care less about your post if they are already braindead, they will just go to the other ended giveaway and spam there.

+ AK Redline is like $5. Nobody would fake a giveaway and keep it.

But its still free. Why turn down a free item? Your ruining the chance that people who actually want to do giveaways to even bother. You obviously don't have "precious time" if you replied that quickly.
Tell me what you are losing besides time when you enter these giveaways.
