How are knife patterns generated?
Title says it all, just a little query.

[EDIT] As in different crimson web patterns and stuff alike.

Skins are generated due to a pallet. some paterns are static some are randomly generated as you know, such as case hardened ect... There is a square pallet with a patern on it and when a item is dropped/ unboxed it randomly selects X and Y of the palet so it is a random location and a random pattern, and can also select a random zoom rate for the pallet, this explains why the case hardened blue gem is so rare because the X and Y are on a Blue spot and it is slightly zoomed in!. I hope this helped -Dylan
