Is Trade Up Really worth it?

Since I never bother to use it very much, wondering if using the Trade up by stacking Skins of Grade and Quality will do any better.
Like if I do Full Light Blue, does it upgrade a Random Darker Blue and the quality will also be random?

Its like gambling, you may be lucky or you may get ♥♥♥♥. You should look up certain trade ups. When you input certain weapons, you can only get a trade up of a few items.

usually if you have random skins of the same quality then sometimes youll get a quality one lvl up and worth like 35 cents so its not worth it. but ive done it before and got me a nova hyper beast

If you get all scientific about it, there are ways to find certain trade-ups that have decent odds of being profitable but based on your inexperience with trade-ups I'm going to suggest that you don't bother doing it for profit alone. It's not necessarily a terrible idea but generally you will lose "money" on it. GLHF

Yeah, its risky. You can spend $30 and get an item worth $50 or like $3

u can view the possible outcome from csgoexchange.
in short,"profit" comes from risk.
if it's a 100% trade ups it will not be a profit as it will be abused until the price balanced.
since that the price gap per tier is always less than 10x,selling them 10 lower tier items and buy the next tier item is more worth it.

actually if you know what you are doing then you can make some nice profits
yes its luck but with the right skins and floats you can make sure that you will profit when you do it multiple times
just before you start doing them do some proper research and i suggest starting with 1-2 dollar trade-ups
