CS:GO Gun recoil makes no sense
Simply a ♥♥♥♥ game where you have to learn about an invisible so called "Spray pattern" which makes no sense at all.

i'm trying to figure out what this even means. you do know what "recoil" means right? it, by definition, implies that the next bullet will not go where the aiming reticule is located. basically, you don't want recoil Recoil has two possible variations:

A) completely random
B) spray pattern

Under A, recoil is impossible to control. Under B, recoil can by controlled by learning the spray patterns. You have only those two options. Sure, spray patterns are a bit unrealistic but they make spraying useful. From what I understand, in real firefights full automatic is used to suppress enemy movement. If you hear a bunch of gunfire followed by impacts in you vicinity you are likely to keep your head down and under cover.

It's not rocket science. He and others like myself would like the recoil to be realistic, tons of other shooters get it right, not sure why it's so jacked up in CS:Go. In real life, when you fire a weapon rapidly, the recoil causes the muzzle to climb. Meaning the barrel starts pointing higher. In CS:Go this does not happen, the weapon doesn't actually recoil, the crosshair doesn't recoil. The bullets just start shooting out at a degree that doesn't match the weapon your using, so you end up pointing your weapon in the dirt to get your shots to end up on target. That is unrealistic, and counterintuitive.

Go back to COD.

full one man sprays are only effective at short range. if you actually had a realistic recoil spray would be far more ineffective. this would have the effect of lowering the overall skill ceiling of the game and reducing the excitment level of the pro scene. valve sacrifices realism a bit for gameplay. if they did what you are suggesting a large portion of the playerbase would quit within weeks.

changes that increase the skill ceiling make the game more exciting.

when you fire a weapon rapidly, the recoil causes the muzzle to climb.

this is a visual feature not related to mechanical gameplay. i just went in offline mode and game myslef unlimited ammo. then i full sprayed an ak at about 400 units at a wall. the muzzle lifted around an inch on my screen. i think that muzzle lift is probably a bit low for the change in trajectory but that's a very minor quibble over a visual affect. you don't look at the tip of your barrel to control spray, you look at your crosshair.

in all FPs in order to control spray you need to pull down on the mouse. CS is no different. Look, if you are looking at the barrel of your gun when you fire you have much bigger problems than fine tuning your spray control. I have spent a good number of hours in the Recoil Master map and already notice what you describe as an oddity. that visual oddity has no impact on my ability to learn spray control.

Meaning the barrel starts pointing higher. In CS:Go this does not happen, the weapon doesn't actually recoil, the crosshair doesn't recoil.

then you're more blind than i am (and i'm legally blind in my right eye and have an astigmatism in my left that is only partially corrected by lenses}. i set my crosshair to dark blue, put a pen dot on my screen where the crosshair sat and fired using my keyboard, because i know the ak pattern and wasnt able to full spray without automatically trying to control.

while holding the fire key i put another dot where the cross hair sat in full auto mode and it was almost one and a half inches higher than my first dot.

look, i agree that the angle of the gun is a bit low for the trajectory but that seems like an irrelevant visual oddity.

The bullets just start shooting out at a degree that doesn't match the weapon your using, so you end up pointing your weapon in the dirt to get your shots to end up on target. That is unrealistic, and counterintuitive.

full spraying at long range with high accuracy is also less realistic than in real life. i'm fine with scrificing a bit of realism for entertaining gameplay. i'm pretty sure that's the trade off valve has determined with maximize their profits.

Go play cod or arma
1. Recoil is a thing IRL
2. Every gun has accuracy so at certain ranges it won't hit the target 100%
3. Spray patterns and recoil is the same thing

Recoil is the best thing in the game

Hey Fuerst, i've got an idea! what if the bullets went where the cursor is? and we would get good at aiming and controlling recoil, without the invisible spray patterns? :) Stop being so blind, please.

If you don't want to have recoil then go play CoD... or smth... nobody forces you to play this game

No. It's to give everyone an equal chance for a competetive shooter without random crit hits.

in other words : "I can aim so it is with logical reason that any other added skill is stupid since it hurts my epeen cuz it can only aim"

where is the logic in that?
