CSGO is unplayable on the new Mac high Sierra.
Hi,
A few days ago, I bought a 13-inch MacBook pro ( 2017 without Touch Bar + 16 GB ram + i5 + intel iris plus 640 ), everything was great, the games were running pretty well on Mac Sierra. But yesterday I upgraded my mac to the new OS High Sierra. Except that since this update, cs go has become unplayable, I can not even play in 800x600 so I feel like playing on a 10-20 fps. The mouse sometimes becomes uncontrollable and I have huge lags as if I were playing with 300 ping. Yet, I had never had that before. I do not know what happened since this update, but it's really frustrating to see that I can not run cs go properly. Until I install windows 10 on an external ssd, I do not know what to do ...
for now, I have only tested cs go on this new Mac version, I have not yet downloaded other games.

Get a windows if you're a serious CS GO player, cause an orig windows pc will always be better than having a virtual thing

I know, I need to install windows 10 but I just need a cable for my external SSD because I have only 128 GB on my mac internal SSD so I just wait it.

you can switch to "fullscreen windowed" mode instead of "full screen" mode - in the video settings menu -

and see if this will fix the issue

this is because they only just implemented the 64 bit architecture version of CS:GO so you'll have to wait a month or 2 for them to optimise it or do it yourself. but its better to downgrade back to sierra since it doesn't seem like you're the type of person who benefits from high sierra.

Yesterday, i updated my Macbook Pro.
After update to High Sierra, my CS GO are Lagging. The problem is not with FPS. My FPS are good, but sometimes the game are slow, lagging.

Somebody resolved?

The best solution to play csgo on mac it's just to install windows 10 and play, i have 120-150 fps on the new dust 2 map 16:10 1280p

Why not ? I need a macbook pro to work and I prefer Mac OS instead of Windows 10.
However, I like to play games on the same mac as cs go so I installed Windows 10 for that on a external SSD.
But stop saying that a mac is not made to play or a mac can not run any game correctly because it's completely ignorant and stupid to say that when you see the evolution of EGPU for example . Today you can put a GTX1080TI as an external card for a macbook, it's just great!

Mac is not made to play PC games. That's why you installed Windows 10 on it.

I suggest you to inform yourself before saying this because there are new nvidia drivers developped for mac os to use the last generation of Nvidia GTX cards. And if you don't believe me you can watch some videos or articles about this.

I use windows 10 because some videos games does not support "metal 2" and support only opengl. But yes windows 10 is better for videos games because of directx and with my integrated intel iris 640 i have a lot more fps.
