its entire possible to update only small parts to source2.
even valve said that they don't update it at once.
and they didn't promised it will come in 2017. when you have a valve source for the PROMISE than post it please. and please not the "we priorities to replace UI in 2017"
Just to add to your comment, with relevant quote.
"Source 2 is a bunch of system rewrites. For CSGO, we evaluate these new systems on their individual merits. Some CSGO rework is in progress, such as the UI that utilizes parts of Source 2. Other systems might follow. Some Source 2 systems might never be right for CSGO. "
Source 2 is absolutely being added on a piece by piece basis, the game will never fully be overhauled, but parts of it (like the panorama UI) will be.
"As far as a roadmap is concerned, our priorities for 2017 are to replace the UI with Panorama"
Please tell me where they say they "promised" to have it out by 2017?
I see them saying it's a priority, which it may well have been. But it certainly isn't a promise. So stop acting like they owe you something.
and thx for the quotes, I am on Mobil and don't have the URLs here
It's best to be able to counter an idiots argument before he makes it in my opinion.
Game has a f-ing 32-bit executable in 2018. It's hogging resources like crazy, consumes crapload of RAM while GPU is almost unutilized. FPS is insanely inconsistent and any random patch can cause frame drops (and they often do).
Year is 2018. Dota 2 is being updated WEEKLY, with huge patches. Why don't you face it? Valve doesn't give a damn about CSGO because it doesn't make money like subscriptions to Dota Plus will, now that they introduced them (another one of ~15 patches so far, and it's only March).
And what the hell are you talking about "modular build engine"? They can't make Source 2 core engine magically "appear" into being out of 200x20mb patches without anyone noticing, don't be stupid. And core gameplay doesn't change or else everyone would notice. And neither does performance, i.e. it doesn't improve. You can't even alt+tab and expect to get back into the game before 10 seconds, that's how long it takes just to alt+tab.
And another thing: stop talking about the stupid UI because it doesn't change anything. It's not even there for starters, and even if it were core gameplay and poor performance that goes along with it would still be there, because it still doesn't utilize RAM like 64-bit application would.
Base is the same just some code improvements, and valve said that they won't put CSGO as whole on Source 2 because it wasn't designated for it and it wouldn't work best, keep in mind Source 2 was based for Dota 2 which is MOBA and not FPS shooter :p
So no, they don't owe us anything.
Not going to bother with the rest. You're clearly entitled and there's no changing your opinion so there's no point in trying.
I don't "owe" you a proper reply ;)
Also about entitlement, kids like you who don't put anything into the game because they can't afford it are entitled. I, and many other who do, are owed. Might want to learn the difference.
I personally would love to see more servers in east Europe with lower latency, and would love to see more mechanics like breaking a corner of a wall ( source2 even if I'm not an awper) less situations when I'm after a wall but the servers places me in open field ( attention, not to be mistaken with bad peak mechanic) and so on.
Is true i dont open crates, I prefer buying the skins I like from market but they are still my money that I give for free to valve
And I told myself if I get to Global Elite before they do any significant work on it (I'm LEM currently close to SMFC), then I will stop playing completely. There's only so much time I can wait.
Dota 2 has seen overhaul after overhaul, cosmetics and updates up to wazoo while CSGO still lingers in the past, being patched with obscure bug fixes and skins by a small group of people, who actually rely on the community workshop to provide the skins. They just gather it up, put it in a case and then sell the keys. And don't even get me started on the drop rate of even purple or pink items, let alone reds, knives or gloves. Chances are so miniscule that you might as well be throwing money out the window.
But people still do buy keys and open cases and Valve still doesn't give anything back. It's downright insulting at this point.
obscure Bugfixes? the hitboxes fixes last year are obscure for you? and the new sound engine is nothing for you?
the new player models are something from the past?
csgo got many improvements last year, you sound like you are ignoring them.
I have paid for operations, skins, cases, stickers for pickems.
I've been to majors, spent hundreds on that as well.
I've given CS more support than you could ever imagine, but that doesn't mean I have to be entitled like you. They owe me nothing for what I have paid.
You aren't owed anything, grow up.
