Are Macros allowed in CSGO?

I have a Blackwidow Chroma V2 and I always knew that it had macro keys; however, I once thought they were used to change the colours on the keyboard, but, after reading about it, I found that one can link console commands and such to those keys, and it was from those readings that I found people being banned from many games outside of CSGO.

Are macro keys allowed in CSGO? I am fearful to using them for my benefit after reading people being banned in other games, so I assume that CSGO is heavily against macro keys, but I want to be sure if it is fine to use those keys in the game.

Yes, since they are not detectable by either vac or the server side(account untrusted) anti-cheat.

No, since if they are obvious to spectators you're probably getting reported and banned for "other external assistance".

I do not understand external assistance. Like, having better headphones, a better monitor, a better mouse, and even a better PC could be considered having external assistance, so why is is different toward macros?

A Peripheral is not considered external assistance.

I think he means macros to help you "cheat" recoil ones and what not. From what I have heard buy macros are fine.

A macro, which is built in Software coming with the mouse is considered external assistence. A bhop script gains you an advantage for getting from on spot to the other faster, therefore a lot of people call it cheating.
I got temp banned for legit cheating without software before, so i wouldnt risk it if i where you.

It refers more to scripts than anything else. "other external assistance" is the exact wording in OW, I'm pretty sure, the example they give is bunny hop script, speed hack
