Low fps with a gtx 1080 ti.

alright so this has been going on for a while now, I get low fps in cs:go with a gtx 1080ti. I play cs on 1024x768 and I get horrible lag throughout the games I play. I get 120 fps usually and my farmes actually drop when someone throws smoke and I start spraying guns. This is ridiculous and I tried mostly everything to fix it. I have a i7-6700 gtx 1080ti and 16gb of ram and a well ventilated case. I need help please.

His CPU should be able to handle 300-400 FPS with ease on low settings and low resolution.

That should get you over 300 fps. I'm running i7 4770 with gtx1080ti and 32 GB ram.

- Do you have geforce experience installed, uninstall it.
- goto CSGO properties from steam library -> goto local files -> browse local files -> find csgo.exe -> rightclick -> properties -> compatibility tab -> uncheck box for 'full screen optimizations'
- start game
- open console
- type: snd_updateaudiocache
- type: snd_rebuildaudiocache

let that run out, restart game. test again.

Neither do I I have a 7700 I7 with GTX 1070 and get 300 FPS well on max.

I get 300+on all maps with similar system, win 10 pro x 64

Most likely that the problem is on the client. Evryone blames devs first.

I already tried all that stuff. I just tried dual channel ram and that didn't work. are the pascal cards just usless? like I don't know who thought game boost 3.0 would be a good idea.

That's for netbooks. Setting to high perfomance doesnt change anything special for you if you're running a desktop PC, it just makes it always be at high perfomance even just sitting at the desktop.

Hi there.
I had the same problem and with a similar rig.
What was causing that was the CAM Overlay that i use with my Kraken cooler.
Give it a try, and turn it off, if you are using CAM as well :)

You are a legend. I would never have even thought a program like CAM could cause this.. i have a 8700k and 1080ti and i was getting 100/120 fps. i removed CAM and boom 300fps cuz thats my cap.

Thank you so much for posting about the cam overlay. I was freaking out uninstalling and reinstalling Driver’s. Soon as I uninstalled CAM it went back up to normal. Thank you!!!!!
