4:3 stretched resolution looks like 16:9
Hello Guys,
I've big problem with my resolution. Before latest update everything was working fine, i had 4:3 stretched and it looked great. With the latest update something crashed and now my screen wasn't stretched as wide as before. It's stretched right now but just not as wide as before. I've easly spent 7+ hours trying to resolve this. I tried every possible option on nvidia control panel. When im using scaling set to aspect ratio i have black bars on sides. When im using fullscreen it is stretched, but as i said before not enough. Looks like normal 16:9.

I have format set to normal 4:3 on csgo. Changing resolution doesnt change anything, only how sharp my screen is. I also tried with custom resolution 1440x1080 - screen just got sharped.

Anybody has any idea to how fix this issue? :(

I tried reinstalling. Downloaded latest graphic drivers. Adding launch options. Changing my monitor resolution to 1440x1080. NOTHING WORKS

To have a true stretched you have to set aspect ratio to full panel or fit to screen in scaling that will solve your problem.

https://imgur.com/a/T5ykl This is my config. I've tried every single variation from this and it still isn't what i had before.

Before the patch I didn't even touched this panel and it was just fine

On screen shot it looks like this, but in reality CS is displayed on full screen. These 2 monitors are the same size. https://imgur.com/a/Wnt0q

Here is 4:3 options i have 1400x1050,1280x1024,1152x864,1024x768 i am sure you are not trying to go lower then that.

Also maybe uncheck override scaling set by games and see if that does anything we can get this sorted out.

Try a fresh install of the drivers.

Honestly i don't remember the resolution i was using before. This screen above is made at 4:3 1440x1080. This one at 4:3 1024x768 - https://imgur.com/a/gFleN. I just want it to be really stretched so i think 1024x768 will be ok.

And where it says perform scaling i am sure the other option is monitor right > turn it from GPU t omonitor and see if that makes a difference.

Try this as a custom 1400x1050 that is 4:3 and really nice looking.

Why not just use a low resolution of 16:9? Why do you prefer the stretch? Bet it looks so crappy.

Because 16:9 even at lowest setting makes the characters very small compared to 4:3 at any resolution and harder for headshots etc.
