Number of players affecting my FPS alot
Try this: Make an offline server, kick all the bots, and then keep gradually adding bots. Does your FPS also decrease or is there something wrong with my system? Please help.

i3 2120
Nvidia GT 1030
4GB RAM

Around 110-130FPS on a normal Dust 2 competitive.

I got my PC from repairing a few days ago and I hadn't played CS in about 3 weeks. That's when all the ranks updates happened, so I guess you could say since then ranks update.

Your pc is pretty old, you might want to upgrade that.

I just upgraded my GPU.. Went from having 50 FPS on 800x600 to 150FPS on 1366x768 all high settings.

Your gpu is fine. Your cpu is old.. But it should be enough for csgo.
(FYI: your gpu is way too much for your cpu.)
Ram is way too low, but should be enough for csgo.

For your question: When YOU start a server and when you add bots.. than ofc it will decrease your fps.

Mh... seems we all missed your main question...

The game is not all about GPU mate. Try posting this on reddit, they might have more experience on that. Good luck,

CSGO is more CPU heavy than GPU heavy.

More players means more processing needed (even more for hosting and even more for hosting bots)

Didn't know it mattered for hosting. Thanks!

Basically the GPU is only used to draw everything you see and apply any visual effects;

However the CPU is needed to control all the gameplay, the positioning of the players, hit boxes, etc;
When you're hosting, in addition to all that, your CPU also needs to control the traffic and send the information for every other connected player;
Finally if you're hosting and you have bots, then your CPU also have to control all the AI for the bots.

When your CPU hits 100% usage, all those tasks get delayed, this causes the game to freeze and stutter, which in turn makes the FPS drop, because the GPU cannot draw unless it has the information it needs from the CPU.

Long story short, a slow CPU becomes a bottleneck, even with a good GPU.

2hats with people still having potato computers in 2017? Get a part time job and build a good one. If you can't find a job. Suck eggplants for $20 each.

This is typical sign of weak CPU when it can't handle too much things. Launch MSI afterburner and I bet u will get 99% CPU load when you're adding bots.
