How do people get 300 FPS?
So I've been wondering how people can get a smooth 299 - 300 fps without making their game look like something for the PS1. I already get like 190 - 250 fps with my preferred settings, and I know that's not bad but I want my fps to stay in between 290 - 300 so it's not laggy af. My setup's not bad, and it's not the best PC but it's pretty good, and can handle most next gen games at 60 fps. So I'm wondering of there's a way for me to get that sweet 290 - 300 fps.

My specs:

i7-2600k @ 3.4GHz

GTX 1050 ti 4GB (Overclocked)

8GB RAM

Windows 10

Well, I don't think the cpu is the limit, your limit if anything would be the 1050 ti.

your pc cant handle next gen games at 60 fps unless you set them to potato on that hardware

I overclocked my PC and I could handle Witcher 3 with shadows on high at 50 - 60 FPS, and MGSVPP at 60 FPS on Ultra, and Doom at 60 FPS with AA at FXAA.

I saw people with a similar setup than mine getting lower but mine gets more FPS for some reason.

OC the CPU, reduce all quality settings, lower the resolution, rinse & repeat.

It is still a demanding game in terms of now. That is the reason why it is still in benchmarks THIS year.

I was hitting 200 with a 6850HD 1GB and a FX8150 stock playing at 1080p with low settings. No idea what you are doing weird with your setup.
