Comparing COD and CS is like comparing F1 simulator with Gta.
I don't think I need to waste my time reading any more.
"at least you know if you'll be shooting bullets or lazers each year"
I doubt a constant jarring shift is really good for the pro players, especially with how different this years Cod is.
When your opinion is made up of a series of supposed facts that are actually just more of your own opinions, it is pretty difficult to take you seriously after two sentences in.
Also, I haven't played a CoD game since CoD 4: Modern Warfare. Lying down in a corner watching a door and letting the A.I rack up those kill steaks just isn't my thing.
But jarring shifts in the meta makes the game fresh and not stale, like CS. It keeps everyone on their toes and makes them adapt
firstly COD, along with most shooter or FPS's looks cartoonish.. everything looks plastic, from stone buildings to busses, to houses, its all plastic, whereas CS:GO at least attempts to make the scenery look real.
secondly, cod is a replay game, Not realistic at all.. You die, dont worry you come back to life. so you can just run around the field shooting and not care, about dying.. Whereas in CS:Go you need skill, you cant just run around and hope for the best, you have a team to support..
thirdly, teams, in COD, you are on your own, what you do doesnt matter, because as said earlier, you just respawn, in CS:GO your team matters, and everything you do reflects on your team.
to me, the two games are completely differet, CS:GO is a serious game, where as COD is just a piss about. no skill, no abilities, no stealth, just messing about shooting people. And its just too far fetched in some aspects. im more for realism than fantasy when it comes to FPS, as such i cant stand Destiny. i want realism in my game. I play battlefield to and still prefer CS:GO as again battlefield is just a run around and shoot game, with respawns. No skills needed.
In fact, just to top it all off..
my Girlfriends son plays COD a lot, and he came round my house with the game for the XBOX, i have never played COD. and he wanted me to play with him, so i did, and i beat him 20-13. without too much effort, and he has played cod for many years.. He used cods normal method, i used skills
to me, skilled players play CS:GO.
