HELP PLEASE - CS:GO Capped at 60 FPS
Ever since the 11/3/17 update for Windows 10, my FPS has been capped at 60. Before this I would easily recieve over 100 FPS so I do not think it is a performance issue. What is strange, however, is that my game is only capped at 60 FPS when I am in fullscreen mode. If I switch to windowed or windowed fullscreen, then my fps is no longer capped. I had encountered this issue before after the Creator's Update for Windows 10 but was able to fix it by turning off Game DVR-
unfortunately this doesn't seem like the case.

In my attempt to fix this issue I have made sure that:
1. fps_max is 300
2. v-sync is off for both my ingame and nvidia settings
3. my drivers are up to date
4. X-Box Game DVR is disabled
5. power save mode is off in all settings

If anyone could provide some help or a solution to fix my problem that would be greatly appreciated. :)

EDIT: I have found the solution if anyone else is expereincing this same issue.

1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive or where your CS:GO installation is located (click here in File Explorer, then paste the path)
2. Find the "csgo" application and right click on it
3. Click "Properties"
4. Click on the "Compatiblity" tab
5. Tick "Disable fullscreen optimisations"
6. Press "Apply" then "OK"
7. Enjoy

That's actually not true, the human eye can see past 60 fps. I think what you are mistaking is the fact that most monitors are 60Hz and won't produce more than 60 fps. I have a 144Hz though.

If you have a nVidia graphics card you go to nvidia control panel -> Set up gsync and make sure its off (it limits the FPS to the refresh rate of your screen to stop tearing). If you're on AMD go to Radeon settings -> Display - > AMD Freesync

For some reason, I can't find that setting in my control panel. I have the Nvidia 940MX that came with my laptop- not sure if that has something to do with why my settings are limited.

Then your laptop does not support gsync (not many that do). I'm out of suggestions ^^
Same problem here

Did you set windows power settings to high performance already?

I am on the Razer Cortex power plan which I believe toggles all my power settings to maximum performance when I game.

Do not use programs like Razer Cortex. They are as likely to reduce your performance as to increase it. Make sure to manually set it to high performance. Same goes for energy saving settings in your video drivers.

Have the same issue, I heard uninstalling the Nvidia drivers might help but idk how to do that.

Disable fullscreen optimisation https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/77o9a1/if_you_are_having_performance_issues_stuttering/

And to reinstall GPU drivers download DDU to do a clean reinstall
