I remember playing on mobile data once because I had a tournament to participate in and the technician I called couldn't come over for another few days.

As far as I can tell, one game takes up between 300-500 MB, depending on the length of the game, of course.

I can't give an accurate amount though because my family used my mobile-hotspot as well during the outage. (I asked them to not watch YT vids and stuff because of ping, so you can cut YT videos out of that equation).

I am very sure it is less.
I haven't used that much Data alltogether during that period and I went through four games.
In total I used around 2,5 GB over the duration of 4 hours.

no it doesn't take much data, I still play with only my mobile data daily. I just play it really early in the morning <5-6am or late at night >1am at night. this is the time when the ping doesn't go too high and remains stable. and don't worry about how much data it will consume. <100 mb in a single official competitive matchmaking. and could take up to 800mb if you play like me for 2-3 hours and on community servers too

Yes if you use rate 786432 will take a lot of internet but if you use 196608 should not take that much

I do also play on 4G+ connection and my ping is like 30-40 in every part of the day.
If you have a good connection then all will be fine, also it doesn't use that much if you play just on official servers and you're not downloading any community map.
