M4A4 One Taps
Greetings!

I want to ask the community on how I can improve one tapping with the M4A4 at long ranges. I'm able to one tap with most of the rifles in the game but the M4A4 hasn't been easy for me.

Due to the M4A4's fast fire rate I struggle to one tap at long distances. I've actually posted a discussion on this a few days back but didn't get any serious response from the community.

I wanna ask if there is a way I could practice tapping with the M4A4? OR should I be bursting 2-3 shots for long range engagements as an alternative to tapping with it?

Maybe go for the M4-S
I mostly burst with the a4 as u need 2 headshots to kill someone with armour

M4A1-S is for accuracy and tapping.
M4A4 is for spray.

I use the M4A1-S and love it. You should try it too if you haven't.

64 tick.

Also try crouching when you go for 1 taps with m4, it's seriously more reliable than standing from my experience and practically never randomly misses.

Alternatively aim at someones head, shoot and pull down immediately, you do enough damage to 2 hit with 1 headshot so you might as well.

Do a 2 or 3 round burst

One tapping with the m4s aren't really that useful (imo) since it doesn't do a one shot headshot w/ a helmet (unlike the ak)

At the longest ranges you should be tapping, one headshot and one body shot is ideal. I find the A4 is easy to tap from let's say, A pit to A site on Dust 2. It's just a matter of hearing that initial dink and going for the easy body shot.
You really just need to practice tapping, you can one tap with it if you click the button fast enough so just practice. But most the times for distance you should be going for bursts. It's just not always ideal.

Is there a way I could practice tapping?

Just by doing it, maybe specifically for that you could go on aim_botz and set the distance to as far as it can go and attempt to tap the bots in succession.
It'll come with experience.

But this includes me forcing my finger to press mouse1 as quickly as possible right? And as I expect, it'll take time to get that muscle memory on right?

Yes, to me tapping mouse 1 and shooting once is all muscle memory because I've done it so many times. Something that might help is to try tapping to a beat, I know the AK's tapping accuracy goes perfectly with "Still Dre" so try listening to the piano of that and going with the beat. You just don't want to overthink it, it should be subconscious after you figure it out.

I feel like m4a1-s is a bit better than m4a4 but in close range m4a4 is better
