How these pro players sit so close behind the monitor

The keyboard is because there isn’t much room at lans. You sit close as a preference really, just makes it easier when most of your vision is the monitor.

I sit really close because I like most of my vision to be within the monitor. Makes it a tad easier to see enemies far away as well.
