AWP Kills in One Hit?

So I've been enjoying this game recently, but to me it seems kind of weird that the AWP (the sniper) kills in one shot to the body.

Umm, isn't this kind of unbalanced? It means it's an instant kill anywhere, where other weapons take time to do damage. Maybe it should be increased to four hits to kill so then it's balanced with the AK47.

Anyone got any reasons why it kills in one hit?

It kills in one hit because it costs 4750$ you have high time between shots (you miss = you die) and you walk very slow with it

It is a .50 sniper rifle. That gun irl would put a hole the size of a quarter in you. Need more reasoning? Also, in doesn't kill in one shot to the leg and arm

They are saying 1 hit to the body v armor. Not headshot

Yeah but the game isn't realistic anyway so that isn't an argument, it's not like in real life you fire from the hip or respawn.

Yeah but the game isn't realistic anyway so that isn't an argument, it's not like in real life you fire from the hip or respawn.

you don't technically respawn in csgo, a new round starts which is a new scenario

Look at the character model, the person is aiming down sights. Also, it is expensive, so it should do more. And, when the person faceing the AWP knows what they are doing, it is good for 1-2 kills per round

I thought it was a .338 lapua Magnum and the game isn't very realistic in some instances .

Also, when you take time to learn to use the guns, it will be more balanced. Play comp matches, then you will understand weapon balance

If it was 4 hit kills, ak was to op. Because AWP :
1. Can only shot one bullet per shot
2. You have to wait between shot
3. Not really accurate when noscope
4. Only have 10 bullets and 30 spare
5. Ak's firing rate and recoil will make it win against awp
