Host error: recursively entered

Keep getting this error, and i have no idea what to do. Some people online said to restart my "webserver" but i have no clue how to... pls explain/help me since im a dumbass.

When do you get this error? What are you trying to connect to?

any multiplayer session, be it comp or community servers

From what googling tells me, it can be caused by improper game files; which is odd since it should give you a disconnect for impure game files.

Verify the integrity of the game cache; if that doesn't fix it, reinstall csgo.

Hjk1223 did reinstalling it fix it because im getting this message too and wondering if thats the only solution.

no clue mate that happend a long time ago. I think I had to fully reset my pc to properly get rid of it, but there are most likely better ways of doing it.

I get this error as well, specifically on certain community made maps, I don't know why. Is there a fix yet?

I deleted the map file that was running on the server that i was trying to join and it worked

I found a solution, go into the game files and delete the map, when you join back, it will download it. You need to have enough space on your drive to download the whole thing, otherwise the error will appear.

Im getting this problem now, 2 years later, I don't know what it is, its a single community server, and I didn't do anything, but it let me in, ONCE, then when the map changed, it booted me with the same thing, I don't know why it does it, ive verified four times and each time it happens, a SINGLE file corrupts, it might be the map but I don't want to have to go into my game files over and over again just to play. Just figured id let you know that this is still a problem, and ill post if I find a fix.
