All stickers except the rare gold ones will see a pride drop by 40-75%
Save them but be ready for them to lose their value. You never know how the market goes.
I would keep them for now. Then again, it depends on the teams/players. If they are popular, the price will rise, if they are not, well...
- Will Valve continue gold stickers next tourney (likely will but this is the first time so we don't know). There is also the possibility the next 'gold' stickers could be unwanted or not as good.
- How many capsules are 'investors' going to stock hold. (this is the key unknown variable that will basically determine the supply and people open them)
- How popular will golden stickers be in the future?
There is no specific answer any person/investor can assure you that they will go up in price. You can use trends in the past to get ideas, but it is always a gamble in the end; just because there is low supply or high demand does not mean it will go up in price.
Most likely they will go up in price (this is 'almost' given) because this is the first time it is done, however imo the bigger question is how long will it take before profit (or desired profit per item) is made. I have invested in stickers got at 5 bucks and getting close to 2 years later they are just finally going to 20 bucks (they were at 15 for awhile). So if you are in the long haul it is usually always going to go up in price, but short term wise if you want profits, that's more higher risk - possible higher reward.
TLDR: no one can assure you they will go up or not in price. It will depend on how saturated the market is for that item plus how popular it is. You need to consider how long you are wanting to hold on to the item for profit and how much profit you are wanting to get per item - is the risk/reward in relation to time worth it. Most of the time stickers do go up in price but you will need to be in the long haul.
