i keep getting invites from small groups promoting fake case opening websites. Why is this still a thing?

The website's fake. DONT DEPOSIT anything if any website has the same display as this one

Forgot one more thing.

Any websites ( Tradebot, Case Opening websites, etc.) that asks you to deposit an absurd amount of money ( $5-$100 ) before you can trade your items is a SCAM

Legitemate case opening websites usually dont ask for a deposit, but if they do they mostly charge $2 and rarely highter than that

That is exactly what happens in CS:GO. You pay $2.65 for skins normally worth under $1. Do you expect official CSGO cases to be any better? If anything I'd say CSGO cases are more of a scam than major highly promoted case opening sites as with the case opening sites you have a choice with the skin you want, a higher chance of getting better skins and you can usually make free money by using the affiliate feature on nearly every site.

I've used case opening sites for quite a long time now with no issue. I've never received any invites from those groups. And if I find that if any of my friends on Steam are in the group invited me then I'll instantly remove them as a friend and block them.
