Skins Wear Ratings?
Whats the wear ratings on csgo skins? Like is it better higher or lower? Or is it just a random number (on the item certicifate)

Factory new, minimal wear , field tested, well worn and battle scarred. From best to worst condition
higher number is higher wear. (1 is battle scarred, 0 is factory new.)

higher number is higher wear.
so basically instead of way back a few years ago inspecting all skins to see which one is better now u can just inspect and look at the higher wear ratings?
Traders usually use term "float" when talking about this number

Yeah you just can check the float value (Skins Wear Rating) and see how worn it is.

Yeah because the number is between 0 and 1 and in programming and math that number is of the float type.

would that be for all skins tho? or for something like damascus steel you'd want to look for like how shiny it is?

Some of us really only look at how the skin looks and not the float. It's not that I don't have money to buy a fn gut or a fn flip. I just chose not to because the both look quite nice as is.

You might also want to do this with skins that have different patterns like case hardened.

Mostly you should probably look for that but usually the float value gives enough info about how shiny it is
Does it degrade from using?
