CS:GO Screen tearing 144Hz ASUS PG248Q Monitor
Hi all,

I guess about this question has already many forums. But unfortunately i couldnt find the solution.
I just build my new config.
Intel Skylake I7 6700K
16GB HyperFuryX 2666mhz
Msi GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G
Asus Maximus IX Hero motherboard
500gb Samsung 850 EVo Ssd
Asus PG248Q Monitor with Gsync function and Oc 180HZ(Used with DP cable)
Os: Win10 64bit (Creators Update)

So my problem I try to play with the Csgo and I experienced screen tearing. I tried many settings already. Switch off Gsync and Vsync. Switch on Gsync with Vsync. Changed display cable. I changed already the VGA card, Monitor and the Mobo as well regarding maybe those have some issue. Nothing changed. Even I changed the frequency of the monitor in NV panel to 60hz/100/120/160/180hz. The same problem I have. Please if someone has any idea let me know. Is my system has something hardware issue or just I need to try different settings which about i am waiting for answers and suggestions. Thanks.

Best Regards,
CSGO fan. :D

I also have GTX 1070 with a G-Sync monitor and it works fine, no tearing. You should always keep G-Sync on and vsync off in NV panel AND ingame.
You should also limit your FPS to your refresh rate, if your fps is higher than your refresh rate you'll get tearing, G-Sync only works if your FPS is below your refresh rate so that's expected.

If I switch off Gsync should I turn off Vsync as well?

Input lag only happens if your FPS is above your refresh rate that's why you should limit your FPS like i said.

Hi All of You. Sorry for the late answer and descripe of the solution what i found useful.

The problem has caused by G-sync. I switched it off completely. Desktop refresh rate has been set to 144hz. In NV panel the 3d settings--> Refresh is not the highest. (Application controlled) Vsync: Application controlled. And as I mentioned. Gsync off.

Now CS go works like charm. No tearing at all. So freakin' smooth now. I enjoy very much. And I forgot to mention. Nvidia driver is 384.76

I hope it will help for the others as well. and many thanks for everyone who helped me. Highlighted mr. Kassrar.

See you in CS go :D
