How to make a cfg file using notepad

hey guys, Ive been wanting to try a new key bind that requires you to make an <exec.cfg> file, i have made that file but you also need to paste <exec autoexec.cfg> in your config.cfg file. Ive seen youtube videos however they all use notepad ++, I for somereason cannot get notepad++ so I must use note pad, can someone please tell me how to paste <exec autoexec.cfg> into notepad?

Nah just open notepad, type in your command, save it in your cfg folder as autoexec.cfg (make sure to save file type as any) then ingame open console and type exec autoexec.cfg
