Error : Can't find background image 'materials/console/background01_widescreen.vtf'

I have this problem when i want to start CSCO

Try to reinstall. That's what I do when something with the visuals with my game go wrong. It usually works

i've never, EVER found a solution posted by steam users, or valve fanboys, these guys are worthless, the problem is related to the steampipe update that broke many sourcemods and such, so that's what I was trying to fix, if your problem is related to the original game without any mods, then I can't help. If it's a sourcemod, then it will only work if the guy who made the mod, also updated the files to the pos-steampipe update, I just did it and it worked, ignoring the missing background image error message, which has nothing to do with "widescreen" or "startup_loading" videos, by the way.
