"Voice channel 0/1/2 circular buffer overflow!" error

When playing CS:GO, my game randomly freezes and the audio loops. This is the most recent error that has popped up in my console:

596.08: Received voice channel= 0: section= 105 seq= 64 time=37986692 bytes= 64, timestamp moved backwards (161006) after synthesizing dropped packet. Expected 0+0 = 0, received 37986692.

I've noticed bright blue text has started appearing in my console for some reason. If anyone can help that would wonderful and I will be forever grateful!

EDIT: I've already tried muting all of my in-game music settings, (beginning and ending round music). I've also already tried verifying my game's cache.

think it happened when someone Mic spammed too hard.
disable voice and see if u still got that error.

I FOUND A FIX! I've had this error since 2015 and no solution until now, all you have to do is go to audio setting , mute all your in game music volume, including beginning and ending round volume. EVERYTHING, for the exception of bomb plant and timer sounds, add me if any questions.

I've tried verifying the game's cache about 3 times and each time it hasn't helped sadly.

I'll have to try this, if this is the problem though I would have to mute my teammates in competitive. Yikes.

Ok, so, it's a long list, keep calm and if you can, try each one of these:

Use the normal bios settings (no overclock)
Disable multicore rendering in CSGO options.
All settings to low/medium.
Verified the game cache.
Reinstalled the game.
Reinstalled steam & the game.
Ran steam as administrator
Checked for driver updates for my gpu (were up to date..)
Cleaned my registry (before installing steam & the game)
Checked for drivers issues and installed drivers from asus and intel.
Played CS:S and this seems to work fine.
Forced CS:GO to run on other versions of directX (although I don't know how to check if it actually does this and didn't try directX 10 yet).
I did a system restore to an older point, before I installed some audio drivers.
Checked all the temperatures which are fine.
Ran memtest on my 2x4GB modules. They passed it 8 times so far without errors.
Unplugged my headset and let sound play through my speakers.

i had the same problem and all i did was go to my audio settings and switch the stereo headphone thingy, it worked for me

THIS WORKED FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you enable console and you see this Voice channel 1 circular buffer overflow!



Simply follow these steps
> run your CS:GO
> go to Options (top right side)
> go to Audio Settings
> move all to ZERO
(ONLY 'Bomb/Hostage volume' & 'Ten Second Warning volume' you put to ONE)

try running in casual mode, if it works, go back to Options and set it back to One :)
