Banned by Overwatch/Bug Report

Hey, I know I'm going to get flamed a little, cause a lot of you have nothing better to do, but this is a serious problem. Back in December of 2016 I was permanently banned from CS:GO by Overwatch. I've read the FAQ, I submitted a support ticket, I've read the countless threads of people crying about being banned, I've watched countless videos on youtube of overwatch investigators streaming their cases, all to try and get an idea of how and why I came to be banned for cheating, when I clearly do not.

Now before anyone starts speculating, since 2007 I've been playing from only one PC, I tried to run it on my laptop once a few years ago, but it was really bad...I have never shared my account details with anyone, I use steam guard, so unless steam is vulnerable, there's no way anyone else accessed my account. So what happened? Is Overwatch full of noobs who can't comprehend 16 years of counterstrike experience, and write it off as cheating, because I'm able to predict where enemies are going to be based soley on that? Do they not realize how many players know every spot, and every angle on all the most popular maps, and check/pre-aim/pre-fire/wall bang those spots regularly? Do they take into account call-outs? Sure, a lot of experienced gameplay would look fishy to an inexperienced player. However....

When I was first banned, it blew me away, I headed straight to youtube to try to find some video of what overwatch investigators see...and on my first search, I found this video...

After watching this video, I quickly sifted through any demos I had downloaded before they expired, at which time I had discovered that even the last few matches that were still visible DO expire and can't be shared or download...What I found was the exact same glitch, so I was recorded it with fraps, and posted a video of my own...

In this video it clearly shows that what overwatch investigators see, and the player sees may be entirely different...This is faulty software on valves part. To those who say "you don't get banned unless you're cheating" are wrong, and I'm proof...whether you believe me or not, is irrelevant. The Fact of the matter is innocent players ARE in fact getting falsely banned...

And 80 days later you take to the General Forums to do what? We cannot fix your ban nor can we overturn it. Do you want us to say you didn't cheat? Sorry but that's not going to happen because I didn't watch the demo that Overwatch did. Saying you didn't do something doesn't make it true even if you post it in the General Forums.

Take it to Reddit or continue talking to Support.

yes I realise that, hence the alt account...like I said it's more of a big report...I was reluctant to post about it because I've read a lot of the flame wars that go on when people get bent about it...however a long time friend urged me to post...

it is as flattering as it is frustrating...I've had one account since 2006, and now I have to log in and out of two steam guarded accounts, and I'm no longer eligible for prime match making which makes finding a clean match no more than a 50/50 shot...which gets tiresome at times...

You need to understand that this is just a user forum and nothing more, nobody here has the ability to help you in any way. Even if we believed your story, that would still not change anything.

yeah that 1.5 k/d and 31% hs really screams cheater, doesn't it? Overwatch ban stated vision, aim, AND external assistance...guess I overused all of it...on my only account that's 10 years old, with all my games, and all my skins...I'd have to be something of a moron...I assure you, I'm no moron...Overwatch ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up...

Like I said, a friend of mine suggested I post about it...the fact of the matter is that this type of thing can happen to anyone, so I thought maybe if I did post there may be some chance that someone on the cs:go dev team may monitor the discussion, but I'm sure they're already aware of the invisible smoke bug, and just don't give a ♥♥♥♥, cause they're making another $15 every time a loyal player gets banned.

I think most investigators know about the demo glitches that can occur, ofcourse it is possible that one doesn't know the glitches but again the case isn't determined by one overwatcher. And the majority saw something fishy. Best thing is to move on and buy the game again r just stop playing.

A lot of other youtubers pointed out that Overwatch investigators don't always see the same thing as what the players see, but that's only if you abused a glitch or bug... Like the smoke bug where a smoke would float on other players screen.

lol, dude, I posted on the first page from my alt account...you guys wanna see fishy? I played a map not too long ago that I know for a fact was reported...awp flicks faster that 32 tick looks like aimbot, when it's a headshot, that just makes it worse...

the issue here is in the video I posted, where when I was playing...there was no smoke at all, when in fact there was, so I appears as though I traced to guy on balcony through smoke, when in fact when I was playing, there was no smoke at all...the floating smoke is one thing, this is something totally different...

Nah, that doesn't get you overwatch banned. You don't get overwatch banned for nice flicks or shots trough smoke. It is the way you move, check corner, the amount of time you chech corners, is the level of movement in line with the aim, how does the enemy play etc etc etc. Some nice shots don't get you banned.

Show me the other 9 rounds and can judge. If you do that 6 times in one game yes it is fishy. You did it once, it's called evidence BEYOND reasonable doubt. Not hmmm it's a bit fishy.

Neither of those are fishy what so ever. First game is normal prefire and normal spots to check.

Second clip only exist because the enemy team sucks next level.

At least if they made the demo available users could at least get outsider opinions...you know? Like it would be blatantly obvious to most players if the suspect is cheating...at least then there would be less of this "you cheated, bye bye" sort of attitude...I think valve withholds such data, because they know there would be a lot of backlash from the community...

Not to mention they basically steal your inventory, on top of taking the game away...
