thanks, i understand. But my spec i'm using right now can play cs:go perfectly. i5 4460 is fine with csgo (no need to upgrade new cpu), what i need right now is upgrade 1080 GPU, but i dont know can my cpu (4460) handle a 1080 ? .-.
I5 should be able to handle it. Although you should consider upping the cpu to an i7. I5 is fine though
yeah I'm explaining it to them in their language that they'll be losing 5 frames if they don't upgrade CPU.

Which really isn't much.

Your cpu can easily handle a 1080, although I heard csgi is having issues with 1080s

like what kind of issues? curious here.

Don't waste money on CPU cos this CPU is good is i5 with 4 cores and he can handle almost anything. With new CPU you will get few fps .

Many are reporting extremely low fps, like 100-150, there is a big thread somewhere here but I cant find it right now, the search function doesnt seem to take numbers.

weird. perhaps it's a optimization issue with the GPU itself? that's the only thing I can think of that's causing low fps.

I really dont know, I just see this coming up a lot, a google search also drops multiple reports of the issue.

Your CPU is stable enough... i5 would be a DREAM for me. I play with a AMD 100€ APU, gettin' around 50-150 fps on Ubuntu 14.04.02 LTS.

ive got 1050 ti 4gb and its fine in cs go

Your CPU is more than enough to handle a 1080, even an i3 6100 can do it.

It will handle it yes, goes without asking and it will also improve the performance in most games.
But I really don't think that her/his (no gender assuming here kappa XD) GTX 970 needs an update to a 1080. The GTX 970 is very powerful. And since her/his CPU is compared to it quiet week, I would say that upgrading to a i7-4770k for example would be a better move.

Then again, it's up to you Nyan Cat
